Sebastien Buemi ends the second practice session fastest, as the season two champion looks to make it four wins from four this season.
Some of the drivers started the session at 200kW. It was Lucas Di Grassi who led the early stages of the sessions, but the track was still very dusty at the beginning of the session.
Drivers then settled into their race runs during the middle part of the session before they did their final qualifying runs at the end of the 30 minutes.
Maro Engel managed to beat Di Grassi’s time on a 200kW lap, with Stephane Sarrazin finishing half a tenth of the Brazilian.
Jean-Eric Vergne moved to the top of the timesheets after his 200kW lap. The Frenchman seems to be Buemi’s main rival this weekend.
Nick Heidfeld showed promising pace for Mahindra, as the German was only a tenth behind Vergne’s lap time on his 200kW lap.
Lucas Di Grassi went quickest on his second 200kW run, but Buemi quickly displaced the Brazilian by a tenth of a second to end the session fastest.
On the in lap, Jose Maria Lopez broke his right front suspension on the entry to the final chicane.
