Techeetah believes that the team can push for their first win of the season in Monaco as Jean-Eric Vergne continues to get the most out of the car at every ePrix.
Vergne was able to fight through to finish second in Mexico after starting third on the grid. The Frenchman was able to pass Jerome D’Ambrosio towards the end of the race and hunted down Lucas Di Grassi for the victory.
Win is possible
However, the 26-year old ran out laps in his pursuit for the Brazilian driver, but the team feels that Vergne could go one better in Monaco.
“After a strong performance in Buenos Aires and Mexico,” said Techeetah’s spokesperson. “The team is ready to finally take our first win of the season in Monaco.”
“We will have to work hard, but we believe we have all the capabilities of winning in Monaco on May 13th.”
Vergne has not yet won a race in Formula E, despite taking four pole positions. The Frenchman has been on the podium six times, with two third place finishes and four-second place finishes.
Meanwhile, Vergne’s new teammate Esteban Gutierrez will be looking to continue his development at the Monaco ePrix, which is a track the Mexican knows well.
