DS Virgin Racing are looking to make up for a horrific Monaco ePrix, which saw both cars score no points, as well as sustain significant damage to their cars.
In the first ever back to back race weekend in Formula E history, the team arrive in The City of Light just days after the Monaco ePrix. The team believe they have fully regrouped from the race in Monaco and are now fully focused on Paris, with the drivers flying straight to Satory for simulator sessions in preparation for Saturday’s race.
Eyes Straight Ahead
British driver Sam Bird who crashed on the exit of the Swimming Pool chicane is looking at the positives of the weekend, which he can use to get a good result in Paris
“It was good to get the fastest lap in Monaco,” said Bird. “But it should have been a lot better. It’s important for us not to dwell on this result and move on to the next race. I had pole position in Paris last year, and if everything comes together we’ll get on the podium”.
Jose Maria Lopez believes the team’s luck will have to turn around soon, as the British team luck has been out of favour during the last few ePrix’s.
“We are due a good result,” said Lopez. “We have been preparing hard for the Paris ePrix and are constantly learning as a team. I’m looking forward to my first Formula E race in Paris and hope we can get some good points”.
Last year’s Paris ePrix saw good results for the team with a podium finish and a pole position. The team will be looking for a podium finish again this year in their aim to climb back up the team championship.
