Mahindra Racing Driver Felix Rosenqvist believes that Mahindra can see off their rivals and claim third in the team’s championship by the end of the season.
The Swedish driver believes the team should be pushing for podiums at every ePrix, and if the Indian team failed to achieve that target, then it has been an unsuccessful weekend.
“The season has been a bit up and down,” explained Rosenqvist. “The speed has been very good, and we have been strong all season. In Formula E, it is difficult to extract the maximum amount of points because of a number of things that can happen.
“So overall I know we can do better, but we have great potential going into the last couple of races of the season. I think now the momentum is on our side and as a team, we grew quite a lot in the last couple of races.
“I think now we can fight for podiums. We have had three podiums so far this year, and that is where we want to be, and we are not happy if we are not on the podium,” said Rosenqvist.
Looking Forward to the Race
Rosenqvist is looking forward to the challenge of the Paris ePrix circuit on race day. The Swede admitted that he prefers street circuits which use the normal tarmac that the public uses on a day to day basis rather than temporary asphalt which is laid down on some tracks.
“I prefer tracks like this. I like it when you have a rough surface on the track. This makes it feel like a real street race which is what Formula E is all about.
“We should be driving on the normal roads with all the bumps it has. That is what Formula E is about. The track also looks quite tricky to master, but we should have good speed which will help build my confidence in the early stages of the session,” said Rosenqvist.
