Sam Bird has ended the practice session for the Sunday New York ePrix, as the Brit looks to continue to his form yesterday.
The session was littered with crashes and red flags, as Tom Dillmann and Robin Frijns crashed heavily during the session.
Start of Practice
In the early stages of the session, it was Alex Lynn and Mitch Evans trading fastest laps as they were the first drivers to set their 200kW laps.
After ten minutes of running, Tom Dillmann became our first casualty. As the French driver hit the wall and broke his left front suspension.
The session was red flagged for over ten minutes which created a 20-minute shootout for all the teams to get as much information as they can before the teams go into qualifying and the race.
The drivers settled into race runs until they reached the final five minutes of the session, as they went for their final qualifying runs.
The drivers had to battle traffic on their qualifying runs, which Bird had to do to jump to the top of the timesheets.
In the final three minutes, Frijns hit the wall at turn ten and ripped his rear wing off, and the session ended under red flags.
