Buemi in the wall in FP2

Nicolas Prost has ended the second free practice session fastest, as the session ends under red flag conditions as Sebastien Buemi crashes hard in the final few minutes.

The Swiss driver was on his 200kW lap when he collided with the wall at the exit of the final chicane. However, the only upside of for the team was that Prost proved that the car is quick.

The start of the session 

It was a frantic 30 minutes, which started with driver’s setting 200kW lap times as they prepared for qualifying.  Vergne was the fastest of the first round of qualifying laps. However, Stephane Sarrazin stopped at turn one which hampered a few drivers lap times.

Driver’s were pushing hard and found the limits of this Montreal ePrix track as Lucas Di Grassi went straight on at turn five on his qualifying simulation.

Driver’s were pushing hard in the final few minutes of the session as drivers were getting personal with the barriers to find the ultimate lap time.

There was drama at the end of the session, as Buemi smashed the wall on the exit of the final chicane. The Swiss driver was on his 200kW lap when he turnt in too early and hit the inside wall, which sent him straight into wall onto the outside of the chicane.

The session ended under red flag conditions, due to the high amount debris that was brought onto the track.
