Felix Rosenqvist has taken pole position for the Montreal eprix with Sam Bird lining up behind the Swede in second.
Both Rosenqvist and Bird are in an intense battle for third place in the driver’s standings. Rosenqvist’s pole now means he is a point behind the Brit going into the final race of the season.
Sebastien Buemi will start the race from 13th on the grid after the Swiss driver made an error on his qualifying lap, which has cost the Renault e.Dams driver dearly.
Lucas Di Grassi will line up in fourth place after Nick Heidfeld’s penalty for changing his gearbox and battery ahead of today’s race.
The first group saw Adam Carroll, Maro Engel, Loic Duval, Sebastien Buemi, and Jose Maria Lopez. Buemi went wide at turn one and threw his lap time away and finished third fastest in group one and was out of Super Pole.
Lopez ended the session fastest with Duval in second. however, their lap times were slow, as both drivers failed to make super Pole.
Tom Dillmann, Felix Rosenqvist, Mitch Evans, Jean-Eric Vergne and Jerome D’Ambrosio took part in the second group. Once they completed their warm up laps it was Rosenqvist who jumped to the top of the timesheets with his lap. Vergne was

The third group saw Robin Frijns, Oliver Turvey, Nelson Piquet Jr, Stephane Sarrazin and Antonio Felix Da Costa. Once they completed their warm ups it was Nelson Piquet Jr and Sarrazin who managed to put their car into a Super Pole place.
The final group saw Lucas Di Grassi, Sam Bird, Nicolas Prost Nick Heidfeld and Daniel Abt. Once they finished their warm up lap it was Sam Bird who went fastest overall with a great lap. Di Grassi and Heidfeld also made Super Pole.

Di Grassi was the first driver to go out in Super Pole. The Brazilian had a scruffy lap as he went wide at turn one and lost out on a chance to grab three points to extend his championship lead.
Next out was Heidfeld. The veteran German drove a great lap to go faster than Di Grassi by half a second.
Vergne was the next driver out. The Frenchman drove a strong lap and took first place away from Heidfeld.
Felix Rosenqvist took to the track after Vergne. The super quick Swede went four-tenths faster than Vergne to take provisional pole.
Finally, British driver Sam Bird took to the track. The Brit drove a stellar lap, and was ahead of Rosenqvist in the first sector, but drop away through the rest of the lap and will start second.
Rosenqvist takes his third pole position of the year and is now one point behind Sam Bird.
