Renault made improvements from day one to day 2

Renault e.dams concluded a second positive day of pre-season testing after topping both sessions in Valencia.

Sébastien Buemi was the team’s fastest driver with a lap time of 1:21.890s during the morning session and 1:22.057s in the afternoon. Nico Prost, meanwhile, finished fifth in both sessions.

Buemi was happy that the team had fewer problems than they had during the first day of testing, but it still looking to try and fix the car’s reliability in time for the Hong Kong eprix

“We had fewer problems than yesterday, so today was a good day,” explained Buemi. “We could still improve before the first ePrix in Hong Kong especially with our reliability.

“This is our primary objective because the track here is not quite representative of what we are used to racing on in Formula E but it’s still very encouraging to know that we topped both sessions today.”

Prost was happy with the car’s pace at 180kW (this season’s race power mode). However, the Frenchmen knows the team can improve the car setup to help the French team go faster.

“Today was a good day, and we worked really well,” said Prost. “We had very good pace when using the 180kW map. We could still do better and we are going to use as much as possible of our last day of testing on Thursday. But overall, these two days have been positive.”
