Evans ends FP2 fastest

Mitch Evans has ended the second session fastest, which was disrupted at the end of the session by Edorado Mortara causing a yellow flag in the final five minutes

Sebastien Buemi locked the rears on his opening lap and slid slowly into the wall. The Swiss driver escaped major damaged to the car, as he was able to rescue the car back to the pit lane.

After the first round of 200kW, di Grassi, Heidfeld and Bird were the quickest three drivers. Buemi was unable to set a competitive lap due to his crash.

The drivers then settled into their race runs in the middle of the session before they unleashed qualifying mode again in the closing stages.

However, the final runs were disrupted as Mortara caused a yellow flag, as he stopped on track with five minutes to go.

Evans was the only driver to improve during the yellow flag period, but the Kiwi seemed to not slow down enough in the second sector due to the yellow flag for Mortara.
