Sebastien Buemi ends the only practice session for round two quickest from Alex Lynn and Lucas di Grassi.
The drivers only had 45 minutes to squeeze in their race runs, and qualifying runs ahead of the race later today. Therefore, there was a lot of blocking as some drivers where on flying laps, while other on race runs.
The Jaguar Racing team were the first team to run at 200kW in the early stages of the sessions, but they were quickly joined by a number of drivers, and Daniel Abt jumped to the top of the timesheets on his 25th birthday.
However, it wasn’t long until Sebastien Buemi did his 200kW lap and went to tw0-tenths faster than Abt.
The drivers then started their race runs before moving back to the qualifying runs at the end of the session.
Mortara carried on his strong pace in practice as he put his Venturi within the top five for the majority of the session.
As the session entered the final few minutes. The times started to tumble as Lynn, and Buemi began to trade fastest laps.
Eventually. Buemi created a bit of a margin to second place, as he went three-tenths quicker than Lynn. The gap between second and tenth was half a second.
The drivers will now have to refocus ahead of qualifying in a couple of hours.
