Rosenqvist fastest as Lynn crashes again

Felix Rosenqvist ends the final practice session fastest ahead of the Rome ePrix as Alex Lynn crashed out again at Turn 16 which caused the session to end five minutes early.

Lynn carried too much speed into the Turn 16, 17, 18 left-right-left chicanes, and lost the rear end and slammed into the barriers breaking his right front suspension.

The Brit should be able to qualify later today, as his first car that he crashed in practice 1 will be fixed in time for qualifying.

Sam Bird again crossed the line in second place three-tenths down on Felix Rosenqvist’s 1:35:467. Lucas Di Grassi ended third 0.028 behind Bird.

Jose Maria Lopez ended fourth and proves that Dragon Racing is making solid progress from a disappointing start to the season.

Nicolas Prost ended in fifth, two-tenths in front of team-mate Sebastien Buemi in sixth. Championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne failed to get a 200kW lap in before the red flag and ended the session 16th.

The first time the Frenchman will run at 200kW will be his one and only run in group two of qualifying.
