Jaime Alguersuari has today ruled himself out of the Virgin Racing seat for next season after medical advice from the dehydration that he suffered after the Moscow ePrix.
Alguersuari broke the news on his facebook page this afternoon. This means that DS Virgin Racing will have to find a driver to drive alongside Sam Bird, who is yet to be confirmed by the British team, but Bird has done the majority of the post-season tests.
Alguersuari statement is as follows.
“As you well know, this past June I suffered blurring after eprix of Moscow. As a result of this passing out, my license to compete was temporarily suspended since the commission medical wtcc wanted to delve into the research.
During the month of July I have been subjected to several tests more for what he has not yet been a resolution medical and I am still to waiting for the diagnosis end. This is why, unfortunately, I have to announce that I will not be able to participate in the championship of FIA Formula E for the 2015/16 Season with the team ds virgin racing.

Pre-season testing starts on Monday with a number of teams set to test drivers, as well as their cars for the 2015/2016 Formula E season.
