Lucas Di Grassi has ended the second practice session fastest with a lap that was two-tenths clear of Jose Maria Lopez.

The gap between second and fifth was only a tenth of a second which should create an entertaining qualifying session.

Early Stages

In the early stages of the session, it was Felix Rosenqvist leading the way after the first round of 170kW laps. The Swedish driver was three-tenths clear of Sam Bird in second.

The middle of the session saw the teams focus on their race runs before they pushed for a final time at 200kW as they prepare for qualifying.

Mike Conway had a big spin at the final corner. The Brit was pushing hard when the back end stepped out on him and around he went. Luckily he didn’t hit anything and was able to continue.

Qualifying runs

Rosenqvist was the first driver to set a respectful 200kW lap time, as the Mahindra Racing driver extended his lead to a second over Bird in second.

The Swede also went two-tenths quicker than Sebastien Buemi’s 200kW lap in practice one.

Jose Maria Lopez rocketed to the top of the timesheets with five minutes remaining, as the DS Virgin Racing driver went a tenth quicker than Rosenqvist.
