A frantic FP2 session saw Daniel Abt take the top spot in a session where a number of drivers took top spot which will create an exciting qualifying session.
The fog made an appearance for the start second practice session which made visibility slightly tricky as throughout the session.
Drivers went straight to a 200kW straight away and Daniel Abt led the way after the first round of 200kW, confirming Audi’s strong one lap pace.
Felix Rosenqvist had a small off on a 180kW lap, but was able to recover his Mahindra car and carry on. Jean-Eric Vergne and Luca Filippi also had a small off on their quick laps.
The middle of the session saw all the drivers move to race runs before their final qualifying push in the final minutes of the session.
With ten minutes remaining in the session, the drivers started their final qualifying runs. The times started to tumble as Rosenqvist went fastest first, but he was quickly beaten by Alex Lynn and then Nelson Piquet Jr beat Lynn’s fastest time.
The final five minutes of the session felt like a qualifying session, as the drivers went quicker each lap and kept knocking a driver off top spot until Abt came to cross the line to go fastest in FP2.
