Chadwick gets NIO test call-up

Jamie Chadwick will get her second NIO test call-up for the Marrakesh in-season test on January 13th.

The British female racer was plagued with technical errors in the first in-season test session in Riyadh, and Team Principal Gerry Hughes is looking forward to working with her again.

“After a somewhat reduced test event programme in Saudi Arabia due to a technical issue beyond our control, I am obviously very pleased to extend the opportunity for Jamie to test with us once again.” Explained Hughes.

“This is obviously a case of ‘same car, different testing environment’” He went on to say, “but one that I know that she will relish and it will be very interesting to witness her progress during the day,”

Chadwick is delighted to have another opportunity to test the season five NIO car. The 20-year-old is hopeful that a successful test may raise her stocks for a race seat in the future.

In a press release, Chadwick was delighted when announcing her second Formula E appearance: “I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the NIO Season five Formula E car at the official rookie test event in Marrakesh. I loved every minute of the first test in Riyadh and now I am acclimatised to the car, I am confident we can have a successful test. Once again, a huge thank you to Gerry (Hughes) and the team for giving me the opportunity. I cannot wait,”
