Jaguar Racing’s Alex Lynn is looking to score points on his return to Formula E in Rome.
The British driver, who raced for Virgin Racing in season four, replaces the season one champion Nelson Piquet Jr.
Lynn told Formula E Zone that he got a call a day or two after the Sanya ePrix telling him that there was a drive available.
“I found out after Sanya that I got a phone call and I was excited to come aboard,” said Lynn. “I have had seven days with the team at the simulator to prepare for today, which has been pretty intense.”
The 25-year old is hopeful that he can score points straight away for Jaguar but is aiming to ensure he lasts 45 minutes on Saturday during the race and has a clean practice and qualifying session.
“The team can score points, and I am just working with the team to try and score points and work with Mitch.
“I think my main aim is just to get 45 minutes of racing under my belt, but if everything goes how it should do then points is a real possibility this weekend.”
