DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer finished the 30- minute FP2 practice session quickest with a lap of 1:07.401.
The German driver improved sixteen places from the first practice session and put to bed any concerns that Techeetah wouldn’t be competitive this weekend after a slow start to the day.
Edoardo Mortara finished second again, only 0.284 seconds behind Lotterer. Venturi had both riders in the top two spots with ten minutes to go but Felipe Massa eventually finished in sixth.
Robin Frijns did not put a lap in until 15 minutes left in the session and went straight to 3rd with 1:08.120, however this only got him 12th by the end of the session.
Although Lotterer found some pace in the session Jean-Eric Vergne was still struggling and finished in 17th, his quickest lap of 1:08.457 being over a second slower than his team-mate.
After missing a large portion of the session due to hitting a wall leaving the pits Sam Bird only managed to finish 21st.
