Wehrlein ends FP2 fastest in Bern

Pascal Wehrlein has ended the second practice session in Bern fastest, as all the driver prepared their cars for qualifying.  

The Mahindra driver set a 1:19.188 to top the session, narrowly ahead of Andre Lotterer who finished second 0.076 of a second behind the German driver.

Jean-Eric Vergne -who was fastest in the opening session of the day- ended the session third fastest, but was only 0.004 of a second slower than teammate Lotterer and 0.080 of a second behind Wehrlein.

Oliver Rowland made it the top four covered by a tenth of a second as he finished the session with a lap time of a 1:19:206

Robin Frijns finished in fifth place for Virgin Racing with Mitch Evans finished in sixth place for Jaguar Racing.

Jose Maria Lopez continued Dragon’s good showing as he finished the session in seventh place with Stoffel Vandoorne ending the session in eighth place.

The time difference between the top eight was only two-tenths of a second and the top 13 were covered by half a second. Therefore, qualifying should be extremely competitive.

Sam Bird and Edorado Mortara rounded out the top ten.
