James Calado has completed the Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver line up for season six.
The British driver will be partnering Mitch Evans who remains at the team for his fourth season.
Calado who is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship will be making his debut in the all electric series this season.
Despite being a rookie in the series Calado is confident previous single-seater racing will help secure some good results for him and the team.
“Although electric racing is new to me, I’m confident in my own single-seater experience to secure some great results for the team. Expectations are high and I can’t wait for the first race in Diriyah in November.” he said.
Calado recognised there was tough competition to secure the seat in the team. However he is proud to be part of an iconic team.
“This was one of the most sought-after seats in Formula E and I’m extremely proud to have been offered it,”
“Jaguar’s motorsport history is iconic and to be a part of this team in Formula E is a great opportunity for me.” he added.
The 30 year old was announced as a Jaguar driver alongside the reveal of the teams new powertrain the I-Type 4 today.
