Guenther Stuns the field in Final Practice

Maximilian Gunther ended the final practice session of the season fastest after setting a 1.15.091 to finish two-tenths clear of Formula E Champion Antonio Felix Da Costa.

Yesterday’s race winner Oliver Rowland was three-tenths down on Gunther’s time but finished the session third fastest in the Nissan. Rowland’s teammate Sebastien Buemi ended the session fourth which confirms Nissan’s strong pace.

Mitch Evans was fifth fastest in the Jaguar with Nyck De Vries who made an error in qualifying yesterday finished the session sixth fastest.

Alexander Sims was six-tenths of a second off his teammate in the second BMW car. The Brit finished the session seventh quickest.

Andre Lotterer was eighth fastest in the Porsche, with Alex Lynn in ninth for Mahindra and Felipe Massa rounded out the top ten for Venturi.

Sam Bird ended his final practice session for Envision Virgin in 11th ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne, Lucas Di Grassi was 14th, Neel Jani 15th and Nico Muller 16th.

Robin Frijns set the 17th fastest time, with Sergio Sette Camara in 18th, Jerome D’Ambrosioin 19th and Oliver Turvey in 20th.

Jean-Eric Vergne backed off on his fast lap leaving him 21st ahead of yesterday’s podium finisher Rene Rast, Superpole contender Tom Blomqvist and Daniel Abt completing the field.
