Mahindra Racing have announced their commitment to the Gen3 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, making them the first manufacturer and racing team to do so. It also means they are committed to saying in Formula E for at least the next three years.

Mahindra have been part of Formula E since the inaugural season, securing four E-Prix wins, 18 podiums and 690 championship point along the way, and the team fully believes that their best days are yet to come.

The new generation commences with the 2022/23 season and marks a new era. The cars are expected to be more powerful and lighter than ever. The power is set to be increased from 250kW in qualifying and 220kW in the race to 350kW and 300kW respectively.

The Gen3 rules are expected to run until at least 2025 with a promise of even more exciting and unpredictable racing.

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director and CEO, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Chairman, Mahindra Racing, reiterates that Mahindra’s focus is to play a ‘strong role in the entire electric ecosystem’.

Being the greenest team in motorsport, it was important to Dilbagh Gill, CEO and Team Principal, that Mahindra continued on their journey with the new generation ahead.
