Formula E has confirmed that the Rome and Valencia E-Prixs next month have both been made into double-header events as COVID-19 continues to plat havoc with its calendar.
The second Rome race on the new-look Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR circuit is also expected to have an earlier start time than the usual 4pm start time. The races will take place on the 10 and 11th of April.
FE have had to scrap their annual rookie test that was scheduled for the Sunday after the Valencian E-Prix so that a second race can take place on Sunday April 25.
The extra Rome and Valencia races have been added due to increasing issues around some of the events Formula E had planned for later in 2021, though so far the April double-headers are the only calendar changes that have been officially confirmed.
Formula E are expected to make further announcements soon in regards to the remaining races of the season.
Formula E Zone understands that talks with London are still ongoing with the UK authorities, as they hope the successful vaccination program will make it easier for the British capital to stage a race towards the end of summer.
