Buemi ends FP2 Fastest in New York

Sébastien Buemi has ended the final practice session of the day fastest ahead of qualifying in New York. 

The Swiss driver was the first driver to set a 250kW lap in qualifying with ten minutes remaining in the session. The Nissan driver set a 1.09.386 which none of the drivers were able to beat on their qualifying runs.

Maximilian Gunther ended the session second fastest for BMW Andretti at their home race. The German driver set a 1.09.417.  Pascal Wehrlein was third fastest for Porsche with Championship leader Edoardo Mortara ending the session in fourth for Venturi.

Norman Nato was fifth in the second Venturi. Nyck De Vries was sixth fastest for Mercedes with Oliver Rowland in seventh.

Stoffel Vandoorne will go out in Group 2 in qualifying later today in his Mercedes and the Belgian driver finished the final practice session in eighth.

Jean-Eric Vergne finished the session in ninth for Ds Techeetah ahead of Andre Lotterer in tenth for Porsche.

Sam Bird did not take part in the session after his crash in morning session. Bird will have a new chassis for the race later today.
