Championship leader Nyck De Vries ends FP1 fastest

Nyck De Vries has ended the first Free Practice session fastest ahead of the championship decider in Berlin later today. 

The championship leader set a 1.06.683 around the reverse layout of the Berlin Tempelhof circuit. Reigning champion Antonio Felix Da Costa was second fastest. The Portuguese driver set a 1.06.813.

Oliver Rowland was third fastest for Nissan. The Brit was ahead of Doube Formula E Champion Jean-Eric Vergne. Jake Dennis was fifth fastest for BMW. The Brit set a 1.06.938. Yesterday’s race winner Lucas Di Grassi was sixth fastest.

Mitch Evans, who claimed his fifth third-place finish in yesterday’s race was seventh fastest ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne in the second Mercedes.

Alexander Sims was ninth for Mahindra, and Pascal Wehrlein rounded out the top ten.

Norman Nato was 11th for Venturi. The Frenchmen narrowly beat his teammate Edoardo Mortara who was 12th fastest. Alex Lynn was 13th in the second Mahindra. The Brit finished ahead of Maximilian Gunther, Sebastien Buemi, and Joel Eriksson.

Robin Frijns was 17th for Envision Virgin Racing. Sam Bird was 18th for Jaguar. Bird was ahead of Rene Rast, Nick Cassidy, and Oliver Turvey.

Sergio Sette Camara was 22nd ahead of Andre Lotterer and Tom Blomqvist.
