Maserati’s Maximilian Günther is confident that the Italian team can continue their strong start to the season in Sao Paulo as they search for another points-scoring position.
Gunther has scored points in every race so far this season and the German driver is eager to continue his fine start to the season in Sao Paulo.
“I’m really satisfied with how we’ve started this season,” stated Gunther. “I can’t wait to start running again in São Paulo.
“Scoring top 10 finishes consistently is extremely important in Formula E, and by maximising each opportunity we’ve had, that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do so far this season.
“The dynamic, morale, and spirit in the team right now is high, and I think we’re in quite a competitive position with our package.
“I liked racing in São Paulo in Season 9, and I felt good from the very first lap I did. I think we’re in store for an exciting race this weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”
Gunther’s teammate Jehan Daruvala is looking to build on his points-scoring result in Diriyah after the Indian driver made the duels for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
“I’m looking forward to racing in Brazil,” said Daruvala. “Especially after the break we’ve had since Diriyah.
“As the only rookie on the grid in Season 10, I think the gap we’ve had between races hasn’t been ideal, simply because I want to be driving the car as often as I can so I can continue to gain more experience.
“But it’s been good to rest up a little bit and to spend time with family, especially before we go into quite an intense run of races.
“The season so far has been about learning for me, and I’m excited to continue that journey. I had a promising weekend in Diriyah and came close to scoring my first points in Formula E, so hopefully we’ll be able to build on that this weekend.”
