Jake Hughes set the fastest time for Maserati MSG, as the times began to tumble on Day 2 of the Official Pre-Season Test.
Hughes’s 1:28.604 put him ahead of compatriots Jake Dennis and Dan Ticktum, who ended second and third respectively.
Pascal Wehrlein ended fourth ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne, with Sam Bird in sixth, despite causing the first red flag of the test by going into the gravel at turn one.
Max Günther was seventh ahead of Antonio Felix da Costa in 8th. Jean Eric Vergne was ninth and Nico Müller completed the top ten.
Nyck De Vries ended 11th ahead of Beckmann and Rowland, with Mortara and Buemi in 14th and 15th.
Taylor Barnard was 16th, and Robin Frijns 17th. Nick Cassidy ended 18th after stopping with 20 minutes to go, causing the second red flag of the session.
Zane Maloney set the 19th fastest time ahead of Mitch Evans, Lucas Di Grassi and Norman NATO, who completed all 22 runners.
