Max Guenther will strat from pole in this evening’s Jeddah E-Prix after beating Pascal Wehrlein in the qualifying final. Guenther is the first driver to defeat Wehrlein this year in qualifying as the reigning champion had secured both poles this season ahead of today.

Wehrlein will line up second ahead of Oliver Rowland, with Taylor Barnard starting a career best fourth.

Mitch Evans narrowly missed out on the semi finals and will start fifth ahead of Nyck De Vries and Jake Hughes, with Dan Ticktum in eighth after his lap time was deleted in the quarter finals.

Nick Cassidy just missed out on the duels and will start ninth ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne, with Bird and Nato 11th and 12th respectively.

Championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa will start 13th ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne, with the two Andrettis of Nico Mueller and Jake Dennis behind.

Sebastien Buemi will start 17th ahead of David Beckmann and Robin Frijns, the latter being promoted from 21st due to penalties for the two Lola Yamaha ABT cars.

Lucas Di Grassi and Zane Maloney will therefore start 20th and 21st after the team broke seals on new gearboxes in Mexico City. Edoardo Mortara will be 22nd after not setting a time in group qualifying.
