Mahindra Racing has had a strong start to the season and the Indian team is looking to carry that momentum into this weekend’s race in Miami.

The team is aiming to continue its impressive run of form, having maintained a 100% record of reaching the qualifying Duels and scoring points in each of the four races so far — in São Paulo, Mexico City, and most recently, Jeddah. This marks the first time Mahindra Racing has achieved this consistency since Season 7.

Nyck de Vries believes the team’s improvement from last season has been remarkable and is hopeful the upward trend will continue in Miami.

I’m really looking forward to continuing the season in Miami next week,” said de Vries.

“When you compare our performance now to twelve months ago, it’s a big step forward — but of course, that only motivates us to keep pushing for more. There’s a great feeling within the team at the moment.

“The first priority is always to arrive well-prepared, especially for a new circuit, and then execute our programme effectively from there. If we do that, we have every chance of leaving Miami with another positive result and maintaining our strong run.”

Edoardo Mortara echoed his teammate’s optimism as he looked ahead to Formula E’s return to the Sunshine State.

“Miami is one of the events I’ve really been looking forward to. The circuit is new for everyone, which is an exciting challenge in itself. It looks very fast and technical — I think it’s going to produce some great racing.

“It’s been a positive start to the season for us. I definitely believe we can keep improving and achieve even better results. Hopefully, next week is another step in the right direction.”

The driving force behind Mahindra Racing’s recent improvements is Team Principal Frederic Bertrand. The Frenchman is pleased with the team’s progress and believes the eight-week break in the calendar allowed them to reset and further develop the car.

“We’re all feeling really excited to get back to racing in Miami this weekend and to continue what has been a positive start to the season for Mahindra Racing,” said Bertrand.

“The extended break gave us a great opportunity to regroup at the factory, analyse the first four races in depth, and keep innovating solutions for how we can further develop the M11Electro.

“I think we’re arriving in Miami with a solid baseline and confidence from the strong results so far. Naturally, the hunger is there to keep improving and to achieve even more.

“A new track like this can be a real leveler for everyone. If we show up well-prepared, execute our strategy effectively, and remain competitive operationally, then we have the car and the drivers to keep scoring strong points.”
