Mitch Evans has taken pole position in London after brushing aside the competition in qualifying.
The Jaguar driver set a 1:07.205 to snatch pole from Mahindra’s Nyck de Vries, who clocked a 1:07.379.
Season 10 World Champion Pascal Wehrlein will start third for Porsche after being knocked out by Evans in the semi-final duel.
Dan Ticktum will start fourth after losing to de Vries in the other semi-final.
Nick Cassidy lines up fifth for Jaguar, having been edged out by Ticktum by just 0.017 seconds.
Maximilian Günther qualified sixth for DS Penske. The German lost out to de Vries, who was the fastest driver in the quarter-finals.
Stoffel Vandoorne will start seventh for Maserati. The Season 8 World Champion was knocked out by Wehrlein in the opening round of duels.
Jake Hughes will start eighth behind his teammate. The British driver — currently seeking a seat for next season — was beaten by Evans in the quarter-finals.
All four Nissan-powered cars failed to make it out of Group A. The Nissan powertrain has struggled all weekend in London, and that poor performance continued into qualifying — a worrying sign for their pursuit of both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Championships.
Oliver Rowland will start 9th for Nissan, with teammate Norman Nato in 16th. Taylor Barnard starts 14th in the Nissan-powered McLaren, while his teammate Sam Bird will begin from 20th.
The biggest shock in Group B came as Antonio Félix da Costa missed out on the duels, while his teammate Wehrlein topped the timesheets. Da Costa was five-tenths off Wehrlein’s pace and will start 17th.
