Envision Racing has confirmed that Sébastien Buemi will continue with the team on a multi-year contract, extending his stay into Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and beyond.

The Swiss driver, who holds a joint record for the most Formula E victories (14), joined Envision Racing in Season 9. Since then, he has claimed six podium finishes, two pole positions, and a race win, playing a key role in helping the team secure the Teams’ World Championship title in his debut year.

Despite a challenging Season 11, Buemi delivered consistent performances, highlighted by a spectacular victory at the Monaco E-Prix and podium finishes in Jakarta and the season finale in London. These results bring his career totals in Formula E to 14 wins, 35 podiums, and 16 pole positions.

“I’m really happy to re-sign with Envision Racing,” said Buemi. “We’ve enjoyed great moments and results over the past three seasons, and I’m motivated to build on this success. Last season’s win in Monaco and additional podiums gave us a huge boost, and I’m determined to achieve even more.”

Envision Racing Managing Director & CTO, Sylvain Filippi, praised the extension:

“We are delighted that Seb will remain part of the team. His experience and technical insight have been instrumental in advancing our car and performance. We’re confident he will continue to drive us forward.”

Franz Jung, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Envision Racing, added:

“Seb is a tremendous asset to Envision Racing. We’re excited to continue our journey with him and look forward to more success together.”

Season 12 promises to be the biggest in Formula E history, featuring 18 races across 12 global cities. The calendar includes landmark events such as the championship’s debut at the Miami International Autodrome and a first race in Madrid at the historic Circuit del Jarama.
