Nico Prost hit the headlines at the very first Formula E race, after the infamous last-lap crash with then-Venturi driver Nick Heidfeld. In spite of all the criticism the Frenchman received, he was able to prove the critics wrong, and achieved his first podium in the 2015 Buenos Aires ePrix, the series’ fourth ever round.
Prost’s first victory came in the following round, the Miami ePrix, where his tight battle with local star Scott Speed, defined who would be the winner. With his victory, Renault e.dams became the first team to have two drivers to win a race.
Known for his consistency at scoring valuable points, the son of the F1 legend Alain Prost, finished Season one as one of the most consistent drivers, an achievement that he repeated in Season two.
It was in the 2016 London ePrix when Prost claimed his two other victories, which were key for his team’s second Teams’ Championship win.
Season 3 was rather disappointing for the Frenchman, as he failed to win, nor a podium finish; although his consistency behind the wheel was a key factor on Renault winning the Teams’ Championship once again.
