Nico Muller will leave ABT Cupra at the end of the season and is expected to remain on the grid for season 11.
The 32-year-old has been at the German team for two years after missing a season eight after being dropped by Dragon Penske.
The Swiss driver is expected to stay on the grid for next season, with several options on the table for him.
Earlier this season, Müller tested for Porsche and is now rumoured to be joining its customer team, Andretti, to replace Norman Nato.
Since his return to the championship last year, Müller has often delivered impressive performances despite the limitations of Mahindra’s Gen3 powertrain.
Abt Cupra is also ending its partnership with Mahindra after this weekend and will switch to Lola for the Gen3 EVO season. Lola is making a return to motorsport with this collaboration.
The upcoming weekend will be an emotional one for Müller, who has a long history with Abt, having worked with them in DTM prior to his Formula E stint.
“This is going to be a very special weekend for me. On the one hand, I’m looking forward to the location, the track, and the fans,” said Müller.
“On the other hand, I feel melancholy and a lot of gratitude after two years with this team. It was an extremely challenging time, but it also brought us closer together. We’ve always pulled together, and I’m sure we will do the same in London for the last time.
“We want to give it our all with the whole team, enjoy the days, and try to achieve two good results. London is a cool track – very tight, with indoor and outdoor sections and walls, as we know from Formula E. I will give everything to make the team proud one more time.”
