Reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein has taken pole ahead of this afternoon’s Mexico City E-Prix, his second consecutive pole, and fourth at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a record for most poles at a single circuit in Formula E.

Wehrlein narrowly beat teammate Antonio Felix da Costa in the final to secure the three points, making an all-Porsche front-row lockout.

Jean-Eric Vergne and Oliver Rowland will line up third and fourth ahead of Mitch Evans, with Max Guenther, Jake Dennis and Edoardo Mortara completing the top eight.

Zane Maloney and Sam Bird just missed out on places in the duels and completed the top ten. Nico Mueller ended 11th and Nyck De Vries in 12th, but the former champion will serve a 3-place penalty for impeding Bird in group qualifying.

David Beckmann and Stoffel Vandoorne are promoted, while Vandoorne’s teammate Jake Hughes will also serve a penalty for impeding, bringing Ticktum and Di Grassi up a place.

Norman Nato and Taylor Barnard will line up 18th and 19th, while Robin Frijns, Sebastien Buemi and Nick Cassidy all had their times delated from qualifying for a software issue. All three drivers run Jaguar powertrains.
